just another manic thursday...

for some reason my children are up early. like 630 for jakers and 700 for liz. it is early, and my eyes hurt. coffee isn't making it better. i need something else. like.. a nap.

i hate monday!!!

it is monday, and the weekend is over. and i hate it! nothing got done over the weekend due to much more pressing christmassy type things, and nursing a husband that had the stomach flu. so now i have a thousand loads of laundry, a sink full of dishes, and it seems that somehow EVERY room in this apartment is overflowing with stuff to do. and yet here i am blogging...

in knitting related things i the beanie that is on my dpns is coming along nicely. i had to take out the initial piece as it was too small for even a premie, let alone a regular sized infant and some room to grow. but the yarn looks like it will be striping well, and i am excited to do it. i stayed up til 11 last night knitting with a baby on my lap, and watching law and order SVU.

i will update all these posts later, and include pics.

o! christmas tree!!

we got our tree today! liz and i went to the home depot and bought some christmas lights that bubble, some extension cords, and a christmas tree. i managed to fit a 6 foot tree in the jetta. IN the jetta. we don't have a luggage rack, so i took jakers seat out, and folded the chair down, and made the tree fit. liz was very happy to be sitting next to our tree. she even covered it with a blanket so it wouldn't be cold in the car. we are super stoked! it means christmas is coming. the goose it getting fat.

so to treat myself to a new years present i went ahead and bought the planner that i wanted last year, but didn't buy... 2008 is the year of the spitfire, and i am stoked. since i am not up on how to do fancy things with blogging and links and all that, check out the disgruntled housewife.

when i logged on to Ravelry today i saw that i have... a FAN CLUB!!! all it means is that a couple of folk like a scarf that i am working on, but DAMN! Do i feel cool!
