i need me some pills.

or something to make me relax. knitting and crochet don't make me sleepy. in fact it is the complete opposite, I get sooooo excited thinking about patterns, and yarn, and the actual process, and I wake up. That is what happened to me tonight. I was sleeping, little jakes woke me up a bit, and I started thinking about Blue Moon Fiber Arts. And how lovely Leticia was to work with. And how I would like to order some. And should I have it sent to Connecticut to wait my arrival. Then I started thinking about the move, and I get a little crazy. Then my mind moves over to seeing my girlfriends and I get all excited. So yeah… I can’t sleep. It is too bad I am not taking a government class. The reading was a sure way for me to get to sleep. Bah!

In other news, I replaced the camera I lost at fairyland. What!?! You say I haven’t posted about fairyland? Well… maybe I will later… if you are lucky!

I also cut all my hair off, because I hated it, and it was evil. Oh! And I just got home from the valley. I have been a busy beaver, and will have to post more later. I just wanted to complain a little right now…

March into random.

Sometimes I have things I want to post, but there isn’t a whole lot going on. So I save them up, and cram them all together. It’s just easier for me that way.

liz and jake hate sleeping in the crib. They just won’t do it. But they will play together, and nicely too, but only for shourt periods of time… then it becomes a UFC octogon type death match.

Have I told you how much little jake likes yarn???

he does. And that makes me happy. And he isn’t par-tik-u-lar bout it either. Acrylic, cotton, wool, soy… as long as it is yarny goodness, he is in the middle of it.

he also likes darkwing duck. So do i.

and lastly… for anyone who wants to know, I just finished reading “Rhett Butler’s People”, and I am disappointed. I would go so far as to say, that anyone who read and loved “Scarlett” don’t read this. Or if you feel you need to, wait til you get it at the library, and only read up until GWTW ends. After that it gets really confusing, and you will end up mad.

That is all. Peace out.

Okay I lied. One more thing… empenadas from taco bell are AWESOME! Go buy some right now!

IT’S A BOY!!!

At least I think it is a boy… well… his name is Chauncey, and I love him. He is my new boyfriend. He makes my day happy. He is a von Zuckerbut… of the New England von Zuckerbuts. High class all the way. He is my new vacuum. I found him at Costco… with a coupon, and on sale! Does life get any better??? It does!!!

Chauncey tells me when my carpet is dirty.

and Chauncey tells me when my floors are clean.

first elvis, than me, then Chauncey! TCB BABY!!!

More coffee… less work.

That is how it is supposed to be. Too bad jake doesn’t know that.

this is where the coffee grounds are supposed to be.

on the floor is where they end up.

I tell Pat that it is jakes fault! He doesn’t believe me. He says “jake doesn’t drink coffee.”
I hung up the phone.

Jake doesn’t care. He is a happy boy.

A few minutes later, I don’t care either.

BUSTED!

Liz’s head is anyway. She ran into a corner. Three hours at the E.R. later, she is glued shut and sent home.

The scab is off now, and we are putting mederma. Hopefully it won’t be too bad a scar.

For the love of Ravelry

Have I told you how much I love Ravelry??? Well… I do. It has taken the place of Myspace. It has taken the place of YouTube. Thanks to Ravelry I no longer have to search aimlessly through the internet, looking for the perfect free pattern. I also don’t have to pull out all my yarn holdings to see what I have. I just look up what I got in my notebook, make a couple of clicks, and PRESTO!!! A new project is born! I love ravelry sooooo much! I even won something from them at Stitches West!

And if winning something isn’t just the best thing ever, I won it from my local LYS! I heart Purlescence too. They carry socks that rock, and spinning fiber. And they make me happy. A long time ago, when I still lived in the San Fernando valley, I used to go to Ikea when I was feeling out of sorts. Now I head to the LYS. Same feeling….
But back to Ravelry…
I have already posted at the Bob boosters forums that I am planning to donate some moolah on the 15th of april. Instead of using up all that return for silly things, I thought I would give a bit to Ravelry. If all us Ravelers got together and gave the cost of one skein of yarn… can you imagine?

Uber update IV

Even though I haven’t been blogging about it, I have been working on getting my 108 things done on my uberlist. Some are taking a little longer than I have hoped, but all in all it is going well. Here are some things that are done, or are in the process of getting done.

7. learn to spin. (had a free lesson at Stitches West, and am going to take a class with Miss Gin.)

10. register for absentee ballot. (sent off the card I got after voting in the primary)

29. watch little house with liz. (for those of you that don’t know, this show is addicting. I now watch an hour a day. They qualify as my stories)

35. label photos when uploading to flickr. (the flickr uploader is a lifesaver. I love it!)

40. clean out medicine cabinet
41. go through linen closet and purge. (these two went together. I took out a bunch of sheets, to be donated to goodwill, and threw away old medicine AND fixed up my first aid kit.)

80. read Katherine and Rhett's People. (I am reading Rhett now)

85. get new glasses (got some snazzy ones at Costco! I would like some prescription sunglasses though…)

92. give Norma my old maternity clothes. (did this last time I went down to the valley)

100. help liz learn to wipe her own butt. (this is turning out to be a bit harder than I thought. Maybe her arms aren’t long enough??? Gotta keep working on it.)

102. fix up my yarn holders. (am using those orange and black Halloween boxes. Grouped yarn in separate bags, attached a manifest on the outside of boxes, and updated Ravelry

whew! Quite a bit, but there is still more to do. As I have learned these last few months, when you are a SAHM of two there is always more to do…

i need to get cracking!

i am such a bad blogger! it has been a while since i wrote. but i did update the blog with a countdown to connecticut, and some laundry statistics.

i also went to stitches west, which was the most awesome thing i have done in a while.

it was just like the picture, times about a thousand! i bought some lovely yarn, and learned to spin on a cd drop spindle (pictures to come). i also won some stuff from RAVELRY.COM (the most awesome site EVER).

i have been knitting and crocheting every spare chance i get. i am hoping to give hand made gifts this year, for birthdays, holidays, everydays. i like to create, and people like to receive. it's a win win.

my girlfriend and i are going to be taking a drop spindle spinning class this week! i am super stoked! i hope to be able to hone some skills, so i can spin the yarn i will be using to knit! how awesome!

other than that, last night, my daughter and i spent a good three hours in the E.R. it seems that last night her head was attracted to the corner of the wall, and that happy marriage resulted in a split forehead. about an inch and a quarter split. so we waited, and waited, and then they glued it shut. she is fine, now. but last night we were both feeling pretty grossed out when we saw a little girl eating doritos off the E.R. floor!!! sick! anyhow, pics will come. as will an updated blog link list thing.

peace out!
