choco cakes.

i bought a cake set at the commissary. it was a kit to get kids in the kitchen kind of thing. basically i made the cake (except for stirring) and iced it, and when it set, liz got to paint them with some colors. it was cool to look at, but they tasted awful!

christmas.

liz, jake and pat had a good time opening presents.

pat got beer.

liz got a new baby.

jake got a roll-y ball

it is drooltastic!

i got a new crafting bag, and some much loved gift cards.

the aftermath was amazing.

i felt like a wonky monkey.

christmas in san jose

we went to christmas in the park in san jose. they had all kinds of decorations and junk. it was fun, and cold.

the rain destroyed some of the gingerbread houses.

and there were these creepy elf things.

pat and liz had a good time.

when i grow up, i hope to be cool enough to be part of a group like this.

there was a display where liz could throw coins at it.

one of the car clubs decorated a tree with a tall boy.

the snowman wasn't too happy about that.

and there were cute baby heads

it was a nice day, but it didn't keep liz from having angry sleep.

a few more things...

i finished a hat for the lovely miss ruby ruby!

mr. jake is being a brave boy in showing off a girls hat.

and my new expression for the year is...

It's about as exciting as cheering on a brick!!!

i love that. that is how i feel about modern marvels, and man vs. wild.

even more san fran

after breakfast jake crapped all over my pants, and since i didn't have any extra, pat lent me a pair of his. then we were off to market street to have a look around. we stopped by the mall to see about finding some new pants and found beard papa instead.

there were two of them, but only one made it til i got the camera ready. they were delish!!!

i did wait until i had eaten some soup to eat sweets this time though. tomato bisque and bread is lovely!

we found a HUGE forever 21. i told my sister she has to come up to shop!

we also saw the trolly have a turn around. that was pretty cool...

liz had a good time scaring pigeons. i had to stop her, as i didn't want to be covered in more poop.

all in all the weekend was beautiful. we had a good time on our mini vacay. i can't wait until the next one. maybe next time we will be able to get to japan town, and the yarn store... not to mention see Mr. S. Torres!

more san fran

after the bazaar we went to our hotel and had a nap. then off to ghirardelli square. we had some ho-cho, and a sundae. since we were on vacation, dinner came later...

the ho-cho made liz quite daring. i think she looked like a french pirate.

then we got some cupcakes. they were very tasty..

the next day we ate some free continental breakfast at the hotel.

liz liked the cereal. it came out of a chute.

we had a nice view of the golden gate bridge.

liz had a fine time playing with the heating vent and the cup cover.

jake seemed a bit weirded out.

bazaar bizarre SF

last weekend we went to the bazaar bizzare in san fran. it was lovely...

liz was excited and dancing...

jake was mysterious.

i got some yarn and tshirts. liz and her dad got some postcards from the coolest booth at the bazaar... the postcard machine. it could've been from the future.

it would say really cool things like "beep boop". i heart the postcard machine.
