The honeymoon is over..

I think… I hope. I think I hope against all hopes, but… this morning Liz said, “I think Dora (the explorer) is blind.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Because she can’t see anything she is looking for. And she can’t hear very good.”

My heart swelled with pride that my daughter, my beautiful sweet smart daughter, might finally be over the sickening infatuation with Dora.

Personally I could never stand her. Her head is too big, and she never changes her clothes. Plus, where are her parents all the time? How is it that she can go all the way to muddy mountain with Boots (the creepy monkey), and her parents aren’t around? It just ain’t right.

i have figured it all out...

all i have to do, to do all i want and need to do, is NEVER SLEEP. that is what i learned. now the question is.... is it really plausible. i think, no. oh well...

my throbbing brain!!!


yesterday my coffee pot broke. it just doesn't work anymore. it turns on and everything, but the water doesn't come out, the coffee doesn't brew, and the heating element on the bottom doesn't heat up. the husband says he will fix it this weekend. i think i am getting a new coffee pot. in the mean time, i need to find a starbucks... or drink a thousand cokes.

my kiddo...

is deficient in something... i think... you see, jake loves to chew on socks fresh out of the dryer, and dryer sheets. he also likes to suck on wipees (lavender scented walgreens brand especially) and wash cloths (full of soap, after his bath). i think it is gross but i will live with it.

can you tell me how to get...

so far, this cross country trip has been good to us. there hasn't been too much mishap, and even THAT was planned for. there will be much more posting later. i haven't uploaded anything to flickr for a while, so you will just have to wait.

from 4/24 to 4/25

this i can actually write a bit about. it doesn't need photos. you can imagine. imagine being in a jetta with two kids and a trunk full of stuff for THIRTEEN HOURS!!! welll... there was a time change so... TWELVE HOURS!!! what makes up for it is the fact that we ate all we could at Cici's pizza, we have a continental breakfast coming to us, we saw a new LOST, and we are heades to graceland! Liz and I are stoked! poor jake... he won't remember. i will just have to take more photos.
